About the event
This event is a first of its kind in Fairfield County. The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office is co-sponsoring with the Palmetto Citizens Against Sexual Assault and Winnsboro Public Safety.
The event is similar to the well-known "Walk in Mile in Her Shoes," where men walk in heels to support views against domestic violence against women. However, the "Her" is now "Their" since people of all genders and ages experience different types of abuse.
It is optional that men can wear heels, and women can wear sneakers or men's shoes.
The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office and Winnsboro Public Safety are accepting high-heel shoe donations at their office.
There will be categories that people can enter to receive prizes!
